This is a summer season photo that was taken on a hiking trail which overlooks a lowland section of a mature forest. The overarching colour in view is green due to the mix of both coniferous and deciduous trees in the area. A number of trees have fallen down and lie on the forest floor of the the lowland area. Some sunshine is cutting through the high trees creating some shadows. The photo helps to confirm that as in life, things can be a bit messy on the forest floor.
