@Davidtoddmccarty I'm a NYC union public school art teacher. I enjoy my job, but I have little energy for my own work. I'm very glad for the benefits and retirement plan. I struggled as a freelance artist. But I'm ready to retire.... unfortunately Tier 6 city employees got royally fucked, they changed retirement from 55 to 63 with serious cuts.
