#VillageHall

It's been a long time since our last #gig, so I've been arranging things as I plan to have them at tonight's #show at our #local #VillageHall.

We'll be playing stuff from the #British #Blues boom of the #1960s along with some #pop #songs from the era, to keep a more general elderly audience happy.

I may go a little quiet over the next couple of days! Want to put in some rehearsal time for the forthcoming #Gig by my little trio.

I like the subtle difference between the way the #villagehall newsletter and the #band web site describes it! barroomblues.co.uk/gigs.php

In fact, I've allowed a few old #sixties #pop numbers to slip into the #SetList. The #Blues Police (as they call me) has to keep the other band members happy and they're not convinced there's an audience for the Blues.

We had lunch at the #villagehall today! The #Trustees of the #Poor 's #Allotment give the #pensioners of the #parish a free lunch at #Christmas time each year.

The free Christmas lunch served to pensioners in the village hall.

An unrealized 1986 plan to restore the original appearance of the State Bank building at 442 E Main Street in Mishicot, Wisconsin. At the time, the building housed the Mishicot Village Hall. The State Bank building was eventually partially restored in a similar fashion to the drawings propose years after the Village Hall moved out of the building.

#WestNorfolk #2301859F #PlanningApplication #Marham #VillageHall extension seems simple enough, but an ideal chance to add #cycleParking so #KLWNBUG will support the police suggestion.

The more audaxes I ride, the more I appreciate the Church/Village Halls of this land. The institutional crockery, the serving hatches, the glimpses of these communities through what they choose to display. The sense of dog-eared decency. They're wonderful communal artefacts.

I don't have many photos to illustrate this, but if you know, you know.

A needlework tribute to Queen Elizabeth the second, probably produced for her Platinum Jubilee: a crown made out of pom poms, beneath is embroidered "1 Trowell Guides 1952-2022". Displayed on the wall of a church hall in Trowell, Nottinghamshire.

Lovely warm day for a walk to the polling station in the village. Sadly no dogs to be seen anywhere 😢 but we did vote. Took less than 5 minutes, that's how busy it was.

Picture of a stone built village hall in a pretty setting of green grass and circular paths. Surrounded by trees and hills. Two flags are flying. One is the flag of Owain Glyndwr and has predominant colours of red and gold. The other flag is the Welsh flag. White and green with a red dragon. The hall has posters on the gate and door stating it is a polling station.
