Wow found this amazing example of a WM-WX777 Sony Walkman at Gameshop Downstairs in downtown San Jose recently. It runs off a gumstick battery. I have a few of those but not sure where any of them are at the moment hah. Was in its retail box with the manual. Missing the “wireless” headphones though. Usually these just need new belts and are ready to go. He sold it to me for an amazing price.

I found my Walkman from the 80s - I had the black model. It was expensive then, but unfortunately the quality of fabrication was not that great.

My New Old Walkman

Many years ago, thanks to Laura Ritchie, I got a load of VHS tapes from England. It was the impetus for the first of many re-watchings of The Sopranos during and sinceCOVID-19. I think it’s been 4 full re-watchings and it gets better every time.

Decided last night to let somebody else enjoy the W.A.R. tape player and sold it almost immediately on eBay. I’ve now ordered a proper old unit from the 80s. Going to clean it up, new belts etc, and listen like it’s 1984. #CassetteTape #walkman
