• almost no rain in the Rocky Mountains or the Andes;
• the "Subtropical dry" climate includes Oregon, Chile, the Middle East;
• the "Subtropical moist" climate progresses as far as the Nordics and NZ.

Regions with dry and moist air masses (shading) obtained by subdividing each air mass zone into two clusters, and surface precipitation greater than 3 mm/day (white contour) in the April to September half-year. The contour interval is 3 mm/day.

The World of Kippona, a home brew setting map for an enthusiastic and passionate group of D&D players in Germany. The World features three distinct continents with their own biomes and at the centre of the map sits a mysterious mountainous island shrouded in spiralling clouds.
