I wrote what I thought was a flash fiction. When my crit group read it, they decided it was a prose poem. So, yesterday, I spent some time reading about prose poetry, and now I agree with my crit group.

It's more about rhythm and cadence and words and lyricism and surrealism and fragments and less about plot and character and arcs.

I think I already incorporate this form into my writing as intense moments of internal thought.
