最小の資源で、プログラムを安全に動かすシステム構築になっており、そこで動かすアプリケーションが　Java #Applet APIを継承した、拡張Applet Class のアプリケーションで動かすらしい。

今も、この分野では Applet は健在だ。

これらのリソースを収める場所が、スマホ基盤上にチップとして実装された、Security Element （SE）と呼ばれる半導体に格納され、セキュリティを確保する構造。
iPhone はSEをApple Pay 関係の格納に使っているので、マイナンバーカードも吸収できるはずと言うこと。

やたら #Java #Applet を言う文字が躍っている。

私もWEBページを作った初期の頃、Java Applet を使ってブラウザで動的なページを作っていました。それがだいぶ前に、Java の　#セキュリティ 問題から、主要 #ブラウザ がJava Applet を受けつけなくなって、仕方がないので #JavaScript に乗り換えた経緯があります。

まさか2024年にまた亡霊のようなJava Applet を見かけるとは。

もう少し調べてみます。これでよいのか。

This issue really hasn't bugged me till recently - probably because we about to get our first real cold and snow of the season.... but the Clock weather in the taskbar of Linux Mint 21.2 hasn't worked for months now, so I tried a the weather applet, and at least something sort of worked with it.....
I even created a new panel just to see.... nope still not working.....
I'm thinking an API changed, but as I said it's been months.

Pro svou potřebu jsem napsal IFTTT applet pro crossposting příspěvků z BlueSky na Mastodon. Bohužel se mi nedaří tento applet uvolnit jako veřejný, tak ho publikuji touto cestou a pokud to půjde, uvolním jej i na IFTTT.
