#Workinprocess: How do I work on an
#assemblagecollage?
My main object here is the lid of an old
#oil bottle from
#Shell of special origin. It comes from the
#waste dump of a more than 100-year-old
#oilmine, which is only now being partly overgrown by pioneer plants.
That's why I wanted to work on this contrast between supposedly intact
#nature and the
#damage caused by
#fossilfuels. Seeming
#beauty: the
#blue of burnt
#plasticwaste (like a stone),
#plastic string found in a meadow,
#sari #waste from the
#fashionindustry.
The last time I saw this beautiful
#butterfly and
#moth was in my childhood. They are now
#extinct in our region. The
#beetle has also disappeared, cut out.
I check the composition in a different light (1+2), and with photos. My way of working out this composition in
#mixedmedia is inspired by the wonderful
#book "
#Storytelling With
#Collage" by the inspiring
#artist Roxanne Evans Stout.
