It’s crazy how with modern TVs, the kids now get more individual space than we used to get for the entire screen growing up!
Back in the day, if you'd told me I'd be working on a scene with nearly 2 million Edges/Triangles, I'd have laughed!
"Yeah, no. I'm not going to be a Professional 3d Artist, with a £50k modelling workstation!"
And rendering? Take an hour to load it onto a disk (or a few!), and take it to the Render Farm, let them have it for a few days... (I'm currently wondering how to optimise to below 3 minutes!)

Just got my driving license done a few weeks back, and it just hit me how easy it is to do now.
I remember having to go to supermarkets to find a photo booth in order to get your pictures done. Now I can simply take a selfie and upload it.

Is it just me or are my LED bulbs going out now just as fast as my old incandescent bulbs? It felt like when I first started using them that they seemingly lasted forever. Are they building in obsolescence or am I crazy?

Honestly, banning Cellphones in School is like banning Calculators.
Instead of being afraid, maybe instead teach how to use it effectively. Teach good habits around it. They're going to have it with them for the rest of their lives, in all likelyhood, so making sure they can use it effectively should be a top priority.
The justification used for Calculators was "You're not going to always have one in your pocket!"
That ship fucking sailed didn't it? And I called that shit out in grade 2. Which was checks I think 1998/1999?
My point is that school boards that ban phones are luddites.

Looking back to the late 80s- early 90s:
When my brothers and I were kids we would ride our bikes through the trails around our house. There were a lot, unfortunately they are all full of homes these days. One day we made booby traps and had to ride through them. I got caught across the throat with a rope. I wasn't badly hurt, but I spent much of that summer with an ugly rope burn around my throat. 🤣

Good golly, donuts are expensive! I met a friend at a donut shop this morning to catch up and talk. I didn't want to sit for 90 minutes without buying anything so I got donuts to take home to the kids. Almost 18 bucks for six?! Sheesh! I remember when cake donuts were $0.50. #imOld #backInMyDay
It's frustrating that seemingly smart people will seek wisdom from ancient failed cultures, then post about it on the global internet, from their personal computer, from their air-conditioned home, at the age of 50, wearing fabrics made from dinosaur juice. 😩
