This is actually very #nostalgic:

Note: the sleep amount is calibrated to approximate 300 baud, but it'll never be precise, because the shell introduces a lot of overhead.
It came out to about 330 baud on my machine, which is close enough for a bit of fun nonsense.

In the grand scheme of things I would be considered a #newbie to #Mastodon, but I've been participating in #socialmedia since the speed of your "internet" connection was measured in #baud.
