For 20 years, I’ve been loyal to the same barber shop and haven’t gotten my hair cut anywhere else. The shop has three or four barbers working there, but the owner remains a constant presence, along with a couple of long-time employees. Every barber does an excellent job with haircuts. Situated in an Army town, the shop is conveniently located on the road leading to the gate. Personally, I think feeling comfortable with a barber is important—I appreciate the familiarity. When asked how I want my hair, I enjoy being able to simply say, “the usual.” Interestingly, a couple of the barbers are originally from Vietnam, and they always finish up with a relaxing head massage.

Morning Cruise
