Edit: Ich habe es hinbekommen. Ich musste folgende Dinge machen:
- Resizeable Bar im Bios ausschalten
- CSM im Bios auschalten
- Debian auf unstable wechseln
- Module Blacklisten
- Bios Primäre GPU auf CPU interne wechseln
- Proxmox "Primäre GPU" aktivieren
- Und noch andere Dinge die ich schon wieder vergessen habe
- Unter modprobe.d:

so i have my headset and the headphones work fine but the mic just doesn't want to, it simply doesn't get detected. it works perfectly fine on Windows 11 iirc.

this happened on Garuda Linux too when i was using that

i can do without it, and in fact found a pretty good config yesterday using my laptop's included microphone, but it's not ideal because why thingy no worky? :(

again just to be clear this appears to be a general linux problem. happened on Garuda, happens on NixOS.

it's a normal HP headset, the cable has a volume slider for the headphones and a switch for the mic (yes it's on). the laptop is an Acer Nitro 5 with a Ryzen 7 6800H CPU (mentioning this bc i feel like it could be important. you know it's the CPU i think it makes sense). alsa-base.conf contains options snd-hda-intel model=headset-mic. alsamixer does NOT show the mic, nor do any of the commands i tried to use to list audio devices, or at least not as far as i could tell

any ideas?
