OC Colour Wheel #8: Sophie Young
Last but certainly not least, pink is Sophie Young!
Sophie is super special to me, she's the main character of an old webcomic I had called TrickSong. She's an incredibly imaginative 11 year old girl who is a little much to handle at times, but as long as she's dreaming up new stories and ideas she's happy.
Her stories are what give life to a wooden figure of a red squirrel, in fact! The squirrel, who she calls Trick, is able to take her to any of the worlds she imagines. All she has to do is close her eyes and think about them!
This whole project was so much fun to work on, thank you all so much for the likes and shares over the past month! 💜
OC Colour Wheel #7: Skye Sylvestris
Purple is Skye! She's my another Final Fantasy OC, but this time it's for an original Final Fantasy story from an RP I had with friends years ago.
Skye's self-confidence is pretty much rock bottom. She was forced to train as a dragoon by her father (a general in the army) when it was clear she had no proficiency for magic. However, her adopted younger sister was exceptionally skilled with white magic and received much more attention and praise. Skye unfortunately spent a lot of her life being looked down on and constantly doubting herself.
She has a big fear of dragons, though she can't remember why. Such fear leads her to act recklessly to get rid of them immediately.
OC Colour Wheel #6: Kiya Elgraive
Blue is Kiya Elgraive, one of my Final Fantasy 14 characters!
Kiya is an Au Ra, and is currently in training to be a dragoon. While she can't jump high into the air just yet, she's got the falling from heights part perfected!
She's still early on in her Warrior Of Light journey, but she's got a bit of a feral streak to her—she's absolutely not afraid to bite people if it gets her what she wants. Too bad that never happens whenever she does gnaw on someone.
She's most commonly seen lately wearing all the Fall Guys merch you could possibly imagine.
OC Colour Wheel #5: Cookie
Teal brings us Cookie the Rabbit, my Sonic Forces OC!
Her design has changed a bit from when I created her in game, but it's mostly the same. She's quite good with tech and has adapted some of Eggman's technology into for her own use, such as an arm blaster and a glider. She's quite timid but manages to find her courage throughout the story.
Cookie plays a fairly big role in a Sonic Forces AU I was working on a while back. In this AU, Infinite is actually Sonic from the future, so past and present Sonic must fight to stop this dark future from happening.
OC Colour Wheel #4: Kai ven Dal
Green brings us Kai! The final character on this wheel from Vitalis, Kai possesses only one Vita (air) meaning that unlike Mana, he has all of its physical traits.
Kai is an energetic kid but also loves to learn. Unfortunately, the school environment is not something he gets along with, having skipped classes multiple times, trying to avoid getting caught. He'd much rather read mythology books in the library or experiment with ideas practically, such as tinkering with equipment.
OC Colour Wheel #3: Mickey
Yellow is Mickey! Another character from Vitalis, Mickey is what's known as a 'Vitaless'—someone born without a Vita. They are mostly identified by their grey eyes, as their lack of distinct physical traits can also be a sign of having multiple Vita.
Mickey is a super chill guy who's also really good at getting into fights. I guess he's got the kind of attitude that makes people want to punch him!
He's an errand boy, doing odd jobs here and there. He's also one of the few people Mana gets along with.
OC Colour Wheel #2: Trainer Azure
Orange brings us Azure! She's a Pokemon OC from a video I worked on a couple of years back, The Found Recordings Of Trainer Azure.
The story was a an in-universe look at how a Pokemon glitch might occur and be percieved, and followed a young trainer accidentally stumble across an absolutely bizarre Pokemon in Cerulean City.
Azure was voiced by my wonderful friend CakeOfTheMews, who absolutely hit it out of the park!
OC Colour Wheel #1: Mana Aqula
I wanted to do an OC art challenge for November, and the colour wheel really stood out to me! First we have red, who is the main character of my Vitalis story, Mana!
She lives in a world of Vita, a lifeforce that runs through the planet and is manefested most strongly by humans, who can conjure the element/ability of their Vita with various proficiency.
Most people are born with 1-3 Vita, but Mana is a very rare case, being born with 5.
A colour wheel quilt is fitting for #NationalColorDay – don’t you think? 🥰👏🌈

And so the colour wheel challenge draws to a close. Who shall be in the final slice for red?
The final day of the Scottish Dessert Wheel.
Scottish Independence cupcake
These were very popular during the referendum and still see them from time to time in bakeries. One day I hope Scotland can be free from Westminster and able to rejoin the EU.

Day 7 of the Scottish dessert wheel. This one is probably sold everywhere, but they remind me of Edinburgh and it's my list sooo:
Blueberry creams. Made from sugar cream, and a lot of e-numbers. My granny would get me a 10p sweet bag when we travelled to Edinburgh to go to the museum. These were always my favourites.
Day 6 (one day late due to a migraine yesterday) of the Scottish dessert wheel.
Fruit slice/Fly cakes
This traditional Scottish pastry is made with shortcrust pastry, raisins or sultanas which look a little like dead flies so they have the nickname Fly Cake. Their name changes depending on where in the UK you get one.
Day 5 of the Scottish dessert wheel. Im jumping back a little here because I wanted to draw this today.
Cranachan: Pronounced Kran-e-ken. A traditional Scottish dessert that was made during the celebration of the harvest.
A little whiskey in double cream, whisked till it can nearly stand by itself, roasted oats, and fresh raspberries. Throw them all in a bowl, add a little honey on top and enjoy.
