I saw Zultanite, a rare #gem in #Turkiye that undergoes the #Alexandrite #colour change effect:

Our cones are not created equal; the short 'blue' wavelength sensor is well separated from the similar 'green' & 'red' curves 👁️

Alexandrite cuts off blue (like a yellow object) but embedded metals absorb the middle spectrum, meaning in black-body curve candlelight the 'green'/'red' ratio gets miscorrected by our colour constancy mechanisms🕯️

Watercolour Exercises

Here are some of the exercises done during the watercolour painting classes I have been taking. I am learning that it is more about water than colour! Dry on dry, wet on wet, wet on dry, dry on wet. I have learned to make puddles, have colours bleed into each other, and just to let it happen. Actually, that “just letting it happen” part is hard for me, but I’m working on it.

[P] It's all a scam. It's always a scam. The sad thing is is that it's so easy to scam those with a pathologically high reward-priority. If reward is your life, you'll sit in a pool filled with pigshit if it'd rank you up in your hiverarchies. If it'd get you more pellet. I just know that this is only the beginning, too. And why take blame when you can get them to "fit in" with racism? I'm so happy I'm not neurotypical.

[P] Even though I met my partner there, I find myself wishing the Internet hadn't happened so that their means of learning the extent of their reach and power never became available to them. See, Dark Triad megaparasites, the filthy beasts of wealth, have no imagination. It had to be spelled out for them by computers, over the course of years. And so now they pay less, they keep more, and the lemmings friggin' LOVE it.

[P] See, material design icons are just spaces where marketing interns drew a few lines in an illustration and saved it as an SVG. It sure saves paying an artist, amirite? Gosh, wouldn't wan to have to do THAT. Flat design is so in, yew guys! Skeuomorphism is so gauhe. Even though it was breathtakingly beautiful, there were icons that deserved to be in art galleries back then. I miss that. I like paid-for art.

[P] I remember when iOS 6 rolled around and all the little "fit in" lemmings were cheering for the new design. "But it's clip-art???" It was the only thought in my mind, I was confounded at the time as I didn't fully understand neurotypical lemminghood back then. I didn't realise that "fitting in" to maximise reward potential was more important than actually having an opinion about anything. It is fucking clip-art.

[P] I feel bad. I like Brent Spiner. His character, Data, from Star Trek was an ethical and empathetic soul. It's awful, really. I mean, the woulda coulda shoulda potential energy of future technology reduced to helping megaparasites figure out how they could have even more money. Y'know what white space in UX design is, really? A place where you didn't pay an artist to place something there for you. It's a scam.
