It's really hard to find good tentacle pictures that look kind of similar! And I still haven't got the hang of making fog, but oh well! 😂 The background and the boat are from a picture I took at home in Ireland and the moon is from one I took at home in Italy.

A full moon hangs in the upper left quadrant of the dark blue sky, partially obscured by clouds. Below, the sea is shrouded in a thick layer of fog. From the foggy waters, four colossal octopus tentacles rise, their surfaces marked with rows of circular, amberish-coloured suckers. The tentacles are a muted blue-green hue and curl inward. Near the centre, a small white boat is dwarfed by the tentacles. In the foreground, a dark, rough bush is visible at the bottom of the image. (I do not remember what kind of bush it is)

Digital trichrome triple-exposure, using a Steinheil 55mm f5.6 in a Prontor Press leaf shutter adapted to a Sony A7. Three photos with red, green and blue filters respectively, are exposed with the leaf shutter with the camera in bulb mode. The camera is controlled by a microcontroller operating the camera shutter via the remote interface. The microcontroller counts the exposures of the leaf shutter using its PC flash sync connection and ends the exposure after the leaf shutter fired a set number of times.

When I was a kid I was loaned a book by a family friend. In it were all things paranormal and I remember being fascinated with the ghost photos. The one that scared me the most was 'The Spectre of Newby Church', still is a bit unsettling to be honest.
So, this photo is a little bit of a love-letter to the paranormal and to Jack, who loaned me the book. He's no longer with us but his memory lives on. ♥️ (And it wasn't spontaneous combustion as the book would have led me to believe, I really thought adults were going up in flames left right and centre all over the shop) ✨
