@elgg Election disinformation is a weapon fascists use to show distrust in democracy and recruit for violence like the #j6 #insurrection. Leaving it up is wrong. I expect moderators here to respond to election administrators when a popular post is harmful or unlawful as well. #deplatform

Do I need an academic definition to know and recognize #fascism? (Don't get it twisted, though. I have a working definition of fascism.)

I know what fascism and fascists *do*. I know the effect they have and the outcome they want. The disruption of #community being one of them.

To me 'shutting down' fascism looks like not giving it safe harbor. Rip its mask off, expose its fans and #deplatform them expeditiously & firmly. Shut. Them. Down.

People who have been on internet for over 15 years who remembered free internet should fight against #censorship which has been growing recently even on #fediverse. Looks like the pillow guy got the Twitter ax. Wondering how long these private companies can use these de-platforming hammers while maintaining ever increasing profits.
