Upgraded to a custom #watercooling loop and flushed out Asus #ArmoryCrate, Corsair #iCue, and #NZXT CAM! 🙌 Swapped them for open-source champs: #FanControl and #OpenRGB. Pretty sure ditching the #bloatware gave me a bigger speed boost than the cooling did! 😂💻
I love text adventures. Like #fancontrol and a Ryzen 7 Laptop. Those 16 cores get hot so fast, it's a challenge to set the fan's speed accordingly. Here's a jump from 50 to 91°C within a few seconds. The fan cooled it down fastly, once it started.
If you own a Ryzen 7, you may want to shorten the standard interval in /etc/fancontrol to 5 seconds...

If your Windows PC has fans (it probably does) then this is the best FLOSS package for controlling and monitoring them:
It's fully featured for monitoring temperatures and fan speeds (given they are PWM fans).
There are plugins available for various third-party fan controllers and apps including HWInfo and GPU-Z to allow monitoring for hardware not directly supported 🙂

On Arch Linux based systems you can install fancontrol-gui and fancontrol-kcm from AUR to be able to visually configure your GPU fan curve.
