Oof that was a crazy #FOSDEM hotel hunt. But I got a good deal in the end and just a 12 minutes bike ride from the venue.

Got a #Flixbus (which uses #MapLibre btw) to and from Brussel. Cheaper and more convenient than by train. And I can still bring my folding bike.

Just got a reply from Flixbus. To their credit, they were fast.

That is the only redeeming quality. The rest of the message is of the "we're sorry you had a bad experience on this occasion" variety, and not much else.

Verbally abusing passengers, including people travelling with young children, is not acceptable.

Just had a poor journey from London to Edinburgh with Flixbus. The driver's mate was a horror and shouldn't be allowed out in public.

His distaste for people, particularly those from other countries, was palpable.

I submitted a complaint before I got off the bus, and won't be travelling with that company again. Worse than Megabus.

I wish trains were cheaper.

Taisi jäädä Flixbussilla ajelu lyhykäiseksi iloksi täkäläisille; vaikuttaa siltä, että tämä Porvoon läpi kulkenut reitti lopettaa tuoreeltaan tähän vuoteen. Ainakaan ensi vuodelle ei nyt ole haettavissa yhtään matkaa vaikka esim. Turkkusen ja Stadilaisen välille on.

In dieser Episode bin ich zu Gast beim #Busunternehmen Scharf in Erding. Hier setzt man konsequent auf kleine und große #Elektrobusse im #Nahverkehr. Aber mich interessiert vor allem ein #Reisebus, der es in sich hat: Ein ehemaliger #Setra #FlixBus wurde von der #Firma #ToZero auf einen #batterie-elektrischen Antrieb umgebaut.

Wenn ihr euch das nächste Mal zwischen #Bremen und #Hamburg über einen schnarchigen oder verspäteten #Metronom-#Regionalzug schimpfen wollt:

Haltet kurz inne und gedenkt dem namenlosen Schlaufuchs, der die Strecke mit dem #Flixbus pendeln wollte und dann wegen einer Vollsperrung der A1 für 10 Stunden im Bus festsaß.¹

Davon kommt ihr ihr zwar auch nicht schneller, aber vielleicht entspannter an.

Z ciekawości spojrzałem i wyglądało dziko XDD (Poza tym widać też, że pokazują pociągi RegioJeta i Leo również wewnątrz Czech i Słowacji, co nowością nie jest, ale dla mnie to nadal jest wyszukiwarka krajowa, przez granicę chyba nadal tylko Leo da się kupić)

Or how is an Flixbus that starts with non-functional toilet and airconditioning and that arrives 25 minutes late at the third stop exclusively because the two drivers have dinner together more acceptable than the same situation on a train?
