I wasn't aware mb,

For the fact that in Tailwind v4 the tailwind.config.js is no longer required ^^

Finally, rest in me 🀣 but that's cool idea :)

Finished this four selvedge Tanka Ch'oro this evening. Needle weaving the gap is still REALLY hard to do. #FourSelvedge #AndeanBackstrap #KeepLearning #AlwaysAStudent

Collage of four photos: Two embroidery needles holding open the two sheds. Needles and heddles removed with just a few rows left to weave. The finished band in my hand. And the finished whole band pinned on a towel to see the full length.

More bagpipe! The CLASP (Competition League for Amateur Solo Pipers) has in-person and online competition leagues, workshops, and a great bunch of friendly people. Solo pipers in Grades 5-1 can compete. If you don’t know your grade, you can send in a video.

There’s even a chanter competition for new players not yet on pipes, and the prize last time was an ESSession chanter!

The online live competitions especially are well organized and managed, and give pipers living a distance from the usual highland games, or in countries that don’t have a piping scene, a chance to set goals and keep their chops up. Judges include top global pipers. Crit sheets are aimed at helping you improve, not just rank you.

Better than a beer tent! I’ve been a member since I started piping in 2019 as an oldster beginner. I love it.

Here’s the blurb from the National Piping Centre in Glasgow, Scotland:

If you’re an amateur solo piper and curious about competing, why not come along to our upcoming CLASP in Conversation session?

This informal Zoom event is a chance to learn more about the Competition League for Amateur Solo Pipers (CLASP), ask questions, and see if it’s the right fit for you. Whether you're a teacher or a piper with an interest in CLASP, you’re very welcome to join us.

πŸ—“ Sunday 11th May
πŸ•– 7pm (BST)
πŸ“ Online via Zoom

I declared (in a small group) that I would challenge myself to weave AT LEAST ONCE this week. Evidence of success: I've set up the living room again to make it easy to weave again during after dinner TV time. #KeepLearning #ForeverStudent #HandMade #HandWoven #AndeanBackstrap

Woven band shows outside borders in solid stripes (burgundy, light blue, dark blue, and dark green) and inner pattern in red and yellow, with reflected and mirrored and flipped curled shapes. There is a weaving stick holding open the next row for the weft thread. The base of the weaving is safety pinned on a small dowel which is looped into a yarn belt.

In the past 1.5 years, I’ve learned that success in business isn’t about big leapsβ€”it’s about the small, consistent steps you take every day. From refining my brand to learning the ropes of entrepreneurship, each lesson has shaped where I am today. Keep going, even when the results aren't immediate. Every step forward builds the foundation for something bigger!

Part 2. I had to take at least one artsy class for college Gen Eds. Most of the non-artsy students took something like Art History, a hands-off topic. Despite never having any prior interest or experience with art, I took Drawing 1 instead. Try something new, right? These might not be very good, but I was at the level of stick figures before. Long story short, take an art class! It's fun.

That said, I didn't keep up with it and certainly couldn't recreate these now lol.

An unskilled black and white pencil drawing of an onion. It's dangling from a string tied around the top, against a vertically striped cloth backdrop. The cloth has some creases where it must have previously been folded. The creases skew the striped pattern. An unskilled color pencil drawing of a red apple sitting on a blue windowsill. It's pretty close up, only a little bit of the closed windowpane is visible above the wooden window frame. The apple is a particularly squat one, almost looking more like a tomato. It has a few blemishes, black spots, around the top.An unskilled black and white pencil drawing of a surreal landscape. In the foreground, a low forest. In the background, a tall flat plateau. A massive square platform rises above the foreground trees, seen at an oblique angle. It has wide stairs leading up to each side, and a roof held up by four pillars. A skyscraper sits on the background plateau, to the right, seeming small or distant. A quarry is cut into the edge of the plateau on the left.An unskilled pencil drawing of a small, cluttered computer desk. Two thirds of the drawing, the bottom left portion, are in color. The rest is black and white. The desk is brown faux wood. The front of the desk has a small red suanpan-style abacus, a lidded black pen, and an open brown beer bottle sitting on it. The beer is a Golden Monkey from Victory Brewing. The back of the desk holds a small speaker and a computer monitor. Part of a black cord loops in and out of view on the left. Some ruffled red curtains are visible in the back right.

An unskilled drawing of some oddly shaped sticks, piled haphazardly, against a black background. It's drawn on black paper using white charcoal, with some black charcoal highlights. An unskilled black and white pencil drawing of a woman in a rocking chair on a porch, holding a shotgun. She is on the shadowy half of the porch, only visible as a darker shadow. There are trees visible beyond the porch. An unskilled black and white pencil drawing of an usptairs hallway. The wainscoting projects many shadows. There are a couple vague paintings on the walls, and the top of a staircase in the distance. An unskilled black and white pencil drawing of three eggs. They're sitting on a dark surface against a darker background. Each egg is slightly behind and to the left of the previous one. The eggs cast slight reflections on the surface below.
