Postally used on 7 April 1967 with Aviemore postmark on maroon 3d stamp and sent to Brigg, Lincolnshire.
Good condition, with slight corner bumps, but a noticeable amount of cracking to the emulsion, though not unduly affecting the image.

Today, I took a walk around #lochMorlich. There were some lovely views of the #mountains but I particularly liked this view of #Cairngorm where you can see the #funicular railway and ski slopes.

A mostly monochrome photo of Cairngorm on the far side of Loch Morlich. The bottom half of the picture is the loch, there is a line of large boulders in the water in the foreground. Beyond the loch are some dark mountains, the tops have a good dusting of snow. The middle mountain is Cairngorm and the (currently closed) funicular railway can be seen if you zoom in.

Hello. We got down to -6.3 here last night. The lowest I’ve seen in a wee while. It’s braw out today and I’d love a photo day out, but I need to conserve my energy for a trip away next week. 🙁 Today I’m sharing a Loch Morlich view. It may be busy and easy to reach, but it is still magnificent. Highest beach in the UK.

Im nahezu glatten Loch Morlich spiegeln sich die Wolken vom Himmel. Am Horizont geht die Sonne unter und ein Streifen Licht trennt Himmel und Wasser. Der Himmel ist grau-blau, das Wasser blau-braun. Dunkle Baumkrone und Bergketten sind rechts und links vom Wasser im Hintergrund zu erkennen.

In the almost smooth Loch Morlich the clouds are reflected from the sky. On the horizon the sun is setting and a strip of light separates sky and water. The sky is gray-blue, the water blue-brown. Dark tree top and mountain ranges are visible on the right and left of the water in the background.

A frozen #LochMorlich and the northern corries of the #Cairngorms looking quite nice this lunchtime

Smashing wee trek to An Lochan Uaine then on to the bothy at Ryvoan finishing off with a Biscoff hot chocolate at Loch Morlich.
