TLDR; Anyone looking for affordable #science #tutoring let me know.

👩‍🔬 <- My aunt is a wonderful human being. She is qualified as a #science teacher and over the last year has undergone quite an upheaval in life, relocating to a totally new area in the process. She’s now looking to get back to work via personal tutoring from the new year onwards.

She’s not in it for the money, preferring to help those less advantaged. If you know anyone in secondary education in the UK who wants/needs extra tuition let me know and I’ll put you in touch.

Ideally she’ll get some work local to her in the #Malvern area (#Worcestershire) that she can do in person, but she can also do a few slots per week remote tutoring via Jitsi or similar.

"A #Stonnington Council meeting descended into chaos on Monday night after councillors voted to defer a decision on installing a public #menorah for #Chanukah.

This prompted cries of “#antisemitism is alive and well in Stonnington” from the packed public gallery.

The motion, brought by Councillor Tom Humphries, sought approval for #Chabad of #Malvern to erect a menorah outside the town hall during the festival.

The installation was to be fully funded by the community and had attracted many supportive submissions.

But Cr Steve Stefanopoulos moved to defer the matter, arguing councillors had not had sufficient opportunity to discuss it at a briefing.

The vote split 4-4, with #Mayor Melina Sehr using her casting vote to defer a decision.

This effectively meant the menorah would not be approved in time for Chanukah.

Cr Humphries described the grounds for deferral as “nonsensical” and “an absolute affront to the #Jewish community.”

MALVERN, PA—On Wednesday, drivers on Route 202 encountered a large banner reading “Vanguard invests in climate destruction” hanging over the Cedar Hollow Road overpass, just a short distance from the global investment firm’s headquarters. The demonstration marked the latest public push from climate advocacy groups urging Vanguard to change its investment strategy around fossil fuels

Just seen the data from last week’s #localelections for English county councils

Not only did #greenparty hold our 3 seats in #malvern with massively increased majorities but, looking at total votes cast aggregated across the Malvern Hills District, #greens won most votes, with 26.94% of all votes cast

Yup, not only beat the #Tories & trounced the #redtories (7.69%) but also beat the so-called winners of these elections, #ReformUK & #libdems 👏👏👏
