@MisuseCase @AnarchoNinaWrites I'm afraid we will eventually experience real overpopulation - when agriculture collapses due to climate chaos and environmental mayhem. Unless we can somehow kill Capitalism 100% dead (no resurrections whatsoever) very soon, this planet will at some time (probably not much later than 2060, but possibly already in the 2030s) suddenly only support 60% of the actual population even if they all switch to eating almost exclusively plants. People will be dying from hunger all over the planet, probably even in the rich countries. The damage to the biosphere as a whole and the decline of the Machine Age will at some point reduce the human carrying capacity of this planet significantly, which was roughly 10-11 billion in the Noughties before things began to drift sideways.
I'm doing my part in helping the white Übermenschen who started all this bullshit go extinct by not having any children. I don't expect any sufficiently radical changes in the few years we might still have before the death of billions becomes inevitable. Only when the #megamachine begins to stutter and lose more and more of its functions, people will make changes that even stand a chance of making a difference, but by then, we will only be able to slow the decline, not stop it. If we don't get slaughtered by the fascists first, that is - as soon as people really understand that we are past the tipping points and the ship is sinking, some apocalyptic breed of eco-fascism will raise its ugly head, deciding who can live a decent life, and who gets to die for the common good.
The last Nazis murdered millions, the next are going to murder billions.
