Senator Mike Lee (Troll - Utah) is peddling privatization as a way to address housing shortages and spur rural development - of second homes, I suppose.

Today I learned about a provision in the MASSIVE farm bill that will pay land owners, farmers, and ranchers to place their property in a conservation easement. They still own and farm/ranch the property, but development is off the table.
