I’m currently testing a new #EFHW for #40m, #20m, #15m and #10m. On some #SOTA summits there is not enough space to put up a full 20 m long antenna. The one thing I dislike about #POTA activations operating CW is the occasional operator whose “fist” is so poor, that the dits and the dahs are virtually indistinguishable from one another… requiring a dozen back-and-forth exchanges with lots of “??” from my side just to figure out their damned callsign. 😡
Failure was not an option. Bound and Determined to activate #parksontheair #POTA site US-7956 using #MorseCode CW with 0.5 Watts into sloper EFHW. Thanks to the hunters it took 17 minutes to capture 13 before increasing power to 5 Watts. #AmateurRadio #HamRadio is MAGICAL!

7 back to back QSOs in 40 minutes on 17 m band this evening. Enjoyed every moment of it. There were more stations QRX but I had to go QRT for the day. Its great to unwind working stations on Morse at the end of a day at work.
