I like banging out #MorseCode with a straight key and logging on paper, but #POTA and #SOTA hunting pretty much require a computer for the spots.
So I wrote a #python script to filter data from the API to just CW. Then I color coded for new parks and QRT, then added SOTA. Recently I got crazy and had it ID letters I needed for the #NAQCC challenge. I should stop before I create a logger.

Got a great add on for my Vibroplex. I'm not a high speed code guy.. I'm not even a medium speed sort of guy..I like to do morse code under 20 WPM or as I like to think of it, PaRtY PaCe... AI4UH make and sells these pendulum extension jobs that give the bug something of a stinger. It adds to the distance from the fulcrum and slows you down w/out messing up anything or making any radical changes to your key. Pretty neat, thought I'd share.

@sergio_101 #NAQCC monthly sprints should be on there. January's was last week, but the annual bonus 160m event is tomorrow night. There are also two annual QRPp sprints.
No specific QRS rule, but QSOs are rarely much over 16wpm and ops are happy to slow down.
Non-members (it's free) and QRO ops can still play by sending RST, ST, & power for their exchange.

Almost time for the #NAQCC mW Sprint. #MorseCode, #QRPp 1W max. I turned the pwr down a few minutes ago and then broke through a POTA pileup on 40m, so hoping for good conditions
@sergio_101 I'm really enjoying it. Won it as the grand prize in last year's #NAQCC drawing. It has some quirks, but it's about the right set of features for a minimalist portable radio. Some earlier models were half the size but that screen has so much useful info that I'd hate to give it up.
@KC8JC 2022 ham radio goals:
• keep up the QRP CW QSO-a-day streak - so far so good
• Real non-POTA/contest/event QSO-a-week - fail
• get out and make POTA activations - I did 2!
• Hunt more POTA parks - earned 2k certificate, all QRP CW, plus a bonus RTTY contact
• QSO Party Challenge (and the #NAQCC QRP-CW-only version) earn Gold - made Platinum w/ a week to spare
