Während in Hamburg die Sirenen heulen und unsere Füße nass werden, daddeln wir mit Noppen, zelebrieren den einzig wichtigen Hamburger Feiertag und spielen mit Spielzeugautos. Außerdem streicheln wir Füchse, zerkloppen Bambus und drucken endlos aber offen. Fußball war irgendwie auch noch und Autobahnen werden erst einmal nicht gebaut.

I’ll take it as my #nerding for the week, but it lands in #gardening.
I built a three bin #compost bin last weekend. I had transferred my old pile, and made better care for layering browns and old/greens. A week later I have finally gotten my top 12” inches at +140 degrees. I think that might be my best over 120 degrees before!

So I chose a pattern for my new hand spun garment and tonight is for making the big spread sheet. It really helps me to close read the pattern and avoid multiple mistakes. It will also help me to keep track of the amount of yarn that I'll need and I may not yet have enough fiber to spin. But we'll see.

Back on track. Separated for the sleeves again and it fits. Knitted until I bumped into color 6. That's by far the largest amount I have to prep, card and spin. So it will take a while before I return to knitting.

First I'll update my spreadsheet with stitch counts to match the changes I made. I use it to make a better estimate of the amount of stitches I get out of each gram of yarn, the number of stitches I'll need and thus the amount of yarn I have to spin.

Over the last year, I’ve been slowly reviewing and returning to the web) content from a local EV group that spans decades.

They’re in individual HTML files that I’ve been manually adding to a modern CMS, adding alt text for the images (doing copy edits—I can’t help it, “EV apostrophe S” is not how you pluralize “EV.” (It’s “EVs.”) 😅 I’m very pedantic, but understand that spelling varies between folks, but I like rules and I want to follow them (unless they’re unjust.) It takes conscious effort to use lower case letters to start proper nouns—but that’s another story and I need to do more learning around that.

Anyway, I love these kind of research projects where I get to uncover what’s what, put together pieces, or even track down broken links (when possible).

My $SPOUSE got me a frame for my birthday. I covered it with thick craft foam and a remnant of Baby Yoda fabric so I could have a place to put pins I've collected from various places. I found that they fall off backpacks very easily so I decided to put them on display instead. Now I have something to smile at when I pass by. #crafting #nerd #nerding #pins #collectibles
