Apropos noise, I'm really curious to try a modern night train such as the new Nightjet once, as all the renovated carriages I've tried suffer from sound insulation in some form. Not much a matter of snoring as ear plugs work well for me for that, but either loud ventilation/AC, or track noise leaking through unsealed windows or the frame of the train. #NightTrain

Delay aside, my review of the Munich-Warsaw night train is mixed.
On the one hand the couchettes are well renovated with modern lights & better pillows than a Nightjet, so I didn't have to use my inflatable pillow.
However, the ventilation system had a very loud mode at times (even with ear plugs), the compartment door curtain let some light through & the train was loud at high speed (Linz-Vienna section). Be aware of the lack of breakfast so come prepared. #NightTrain #PociągNocny

Okay, so now that I've looked into VagonWeb, it turns out it's only a separate train until Bohumín, where it joins the existing EN Chopin to Munich and EN Slovakia to Prague. That makes a lot more sense XD

I'm only now really going through the PLK tables (got work, rest and that other project that turns out just doesn't wanna wait xp) and holy, somehow I'd missed the news about EuroNight Carpatia, a Przemyśl-Prague/Budapest/Munich via Vienna night train (Czech couchette in the Prague part, Polish sleeper to Budapest, Polish both to Munich).
Running a *second* night train Kraków-Vienna-Munich is certainly a choice, especially since from what I recall these can't serve Vienna very well as they have to traverse the Westbahn at night to not get into the way of RJXs. Better than dealing with DB for more than absolutely necessary, I guess.
More interesting is that they decided to have it pull into Kędzierzyn-Koźle and do a runaround with the loco instead of using the perfectly cromulent connecting curve that ought to be available there

Aaah, #SJ again – trying their best to make life miserable for #nighttrain #sleeper #Interrail travellers. Just a year ago I travelled Stockholm-Berlin 1 class w/ Interrail 1 class. 1490 SEK. Since October no more discount, so 7450 SEK (!!!) instead. And last week on Stockholm-Narvik: 7h delay, resulting in extra night in Narvik. On the bright side, 100% refund of ticket, hotel and food. But still, total delay to destination (Tromsø) was 14h. @sebwilken

Is this enough food and drink until the train ferry around noon tomorrow, where I can grab some more? Yes.
And sure, it would have been nice to spend more time on buying better quality food, but hey, I am no bloke in seat 61.
The carriage even has an old school “Betten frei” sign.
”Deluxe” is a bit of an exaggeration considering these old sleeping-cars don’t have compartments with en-suite shower/WC. But compared to couchettes, sure.
