Ich bin immer wieder erstaunt über den mittlerweile so konsequenten switch zu Wayland. Da gibt es noch mit so vielen Programmen Probleme, sei es Fehler/Bugs oder auch generell keine Unterstützung.
Und Nvidia und Wayland sowieso sehr "speziell".
Aktuell grad Probleme mit Avidemux (built from source), Ausführung mit "--platform xcb" nötig, ansonsten unbenutzbar. 🤨
Bei anderen Programmen (z.B. FreeCAD) musste ich "QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb" als Umgebungsvariable verwenden.
Das hindert mich auch am Umstieg von Fedora 42 auf 43 (KDE-Plasma).

here's how the map editor is going
Following my recent 2D image morphing demos, I've been thinking of visualizing the process as a single 3D shape. Since it starts with pixelated images, a voxel approach seemed the most straightforward.
While I wasn't quite happy with the blocky look, the parallel columns of voxels caught my attention, and they became a key stylistic element; they reminded me of the "fibre optic" mineral ulexite. I imagined carving a sculpture of such a fibrous material. So I replaced the piecewise columns by these long tubes.
