Explaining why opera is great is extremely difficult these days. People expect a link to a recording, preferably video. That’s not going to work. Yes, there are wonderful recordings. But NOTHING compares to the live experience of a soft voice floating a delicate melody, the force of a full orchestra hitting like a ton of bricks, and the same voice beaming pure emotion right through the wall of sound into your soul.
