was ist die simpelste Methode, um den Inhalt einer #pkpass-Datei / #Passbook in #Linux menschenlesbar darzustellen? Grafische Programme oder Kommandozeile/Bash sind OK für mich.

Meine Internetsuche nach Standard-Software für #Ubuntu oder Kommandozeile zum Lesen von pkpass-Dateien war nicht sehr erfolgreich.

#Catima 2.34.0 is out!

This release adds support for #Passbook (#pkpass) files, commonly used for event tickets and more!

It also contains some other minor fixes and better handling of image thumbnails (especially transparent ones).

On the end-user side, this release probably doesn't look that different, but it contains some major code refactoring. It is also the first release with #Kotlin code in it.

I'm trying to take another stab at implementing #Passbook (#pkpass) support in #Catima.

It's going okay but I'm having trouble hunting down test cases, especially test cases with localized strings.

Do you have any .pkpass file you're willing to share with me? If so, please send them to me and tell me if you're okay with me including them in Catima unit tests. Feel free to censor things before sending (but please tell me what you censored).

#passandroid kann ich leider nicht nutzen, weil mein Android zu "neu" ist. (Passiert mir sonst eher andersherum 😄)

@apgw Das wuerde mich auch interessieren. Ich verstehe auch nicht, wieso sich so viele Verkehrsunternehmen dagegen wehren, einfach etwas leidlich portables wie #passbook​-Dateien anzubieten.

I just found this #OpenSource #app for #Android called #PassAndroid (https://github.com/ligi/PassAndroid) that can handle #Passbook files (e.g. airline boarding passes, concert tickets) without having to use #Apple and its proprietary #Wallet application.

#Maut für Österreich gekauft, eine digitale #Wallet-Datei erhalten - leider per default nur mit #ios kompatibel. Nach etwas Recherche auf #fdroid die App #PassAndroid von @ligi gefunden, funktioniert perfekt 😀

Putting @pvieito’s MakePass v4 (currently in TestFlight) through its paces, and liking his hard work so far.

For a quick spin around the block, was able to make a pass with the relevant QR code payload, for others to scan and join my home wifi.

Being able to easily set GPS coords to make it a recommended pass on the home screen when I’m at home, means it’s quick to retrieve and make use of.

Flying to Brussels, I was offered some digital boarding pass format which I was not familiar with: #Passbook pkpass. Living #GoogleFree, I assumed it was some proprietary thing. But I searched #FDroid and found @ligi 's app:

#question:
So, I've been using #PassAndroid for a while now to keep train tickets (and my proof of vaccination on my phone, but it prefers #passbook or #espass files, and while it imports pdfs, it only shows the first page, and doesn't always find and higjlight the QR code.

...does anyone know a tool to generate a passbook from PDF? I found some online converters but I'd rather not tell some unknown company, about all my train rides, vaccinations and whatnot...
