With glorious rain and a moderate to strong #poniente yesterday morning we took to the urban park and then on to the campo to see more spring arrivals!
Trees alive with arriving #Flycatchers, #Warblers and more whilst in the campo Western Black-eared Wheatears dazzled us and streams of Pallid and Common Swifts poured over!
With the light-to-moderate #poniente wind we had a nice flow of soaring migrants down the eastern side of The #Straits today with building numbers of European Honey #Buzzards alongside Short-toed and Booted #Eagles, Egyptian #Vultures, Black #Storks, returning Griffon Vultures and more!

With the #poniente kicking in yesterday we decided to check out the Eastern #Watchpoints and placed ourselves directly beneath the flow of masses of Booted Eagles (pics), Short-toed Eagles, Black Kites, Black Storks (including one group of over 50) and more!
The flow of soaring #Bird #migration continues here in The #Straits with the exceptional #poniente winds from #StormNelson making the crossing even more perilous.
Meanwhile the #campo is alive with the songs of arriving #passerine migrants as resident #Birds compete on the airwaves !

With a strengthening #poniente wind today Black Kites amassed around the valleys of The #Straits attempting to cross but many waiting for better conditions. As Booted and Short-toed Eagles joined their growing numbers, a group of 178 White Storks showed them how it's done!

En otros temas, he estado leyendo #FuegoYSangre y hasta ahorita la historia más bonita, llena de matices que merece ser contada es la del reinado de #Jaehaerys y #Alysanne. El rey conciliador es por mucho de las mejores historias de #Poniente. Ni #AegonElConquistador, ni sus hermanas o la misma historia de #DanzaDeDragones tiene el peso que tiene esta historia. Lo dejo a la reflexión. En lo que sí coincido con el autor es que el #Viserys de la serie es superior al del libro y por mucho.
