Die Zeitungen sind wieder voll von Klagen der Sportlerinnen, sie wären den Männern gegenüber „nicht gleichberechtigt“. Die Fußball-EM der Frauen hat das Thema erneut in die Gazetten gebracht. Selbst konservative Zeitungen wie die Neue Zürcher Zeitung titeln entsprechend

Kleine anmerkung: es gibt sportarten, in denen frauen keine körperlichen nachteile haben. Ein beispiel, das mir sofort einfällt, ist schach. Selbst dort, wo nichts eine frau benachteiligen würde, wenn auf der anderen seite des tisches ein mann säße (es gibt sogar eine frau, die öfter mal in männerturnieren mitspielt, was problemlos möglich ist, ich habe nur ihren namen vergessen, weil sie dort eher so im guten mittelfeld liegt), führt die FIDE separate wettbewerbe und titel für frauen, wobei die ansprüche an eine weibliche großmeisterin geringer sind. Und seltsamerweise findet keine der davon betroffenen frauen, dass es sich dabei um eine empörende ungleichbehandlung handelt, die dem feministischen gleichstellungsgedanken zuwiderläuft. Vermutlich sind schachspielerinnen intelligent genug, um beim hinschauen einzusehen, dass es nicht nur in der körperlichen, sondern auch in der intellektuellen leistungsfähigkeit klare unterschiede zwischen den geschlechtern gibt, die eine solche ungleichbehandlung erforderlich machen… 😁️
