If you've bought an air #purifier from a manufacturer, make sure that the filter inside the purifier is actually out of its packaging... Otherwise it is not actually working.

Congrats to manufacturers for a very clear communication on that (irony)...

I had read my purifier's manual (where it's vaguely indicated), but was under the impression that the supplied filter would not have been in a plastic bag. Well it was. So make sure to double check!

Our old Smart Air Blast filter after about 14 months of continuous use. (~24x7 @ ~85% setting 1, <1% setting 3). Could feel a slight air flow drop off but swapped mainly based on the hours, ahead of summer.

New filter took a bit more trouble than the original to close the lid.

One of the features of my #Blueair #purifiers is they set their performance based on their PM2.5 sensor.

The problem is…they sample frequently and adjust frequently. So they can get really annoying with the constantly changing sound.

I'm fine with frequent sampling, but ideally they'd aim to keep steady performance as much as possible.

I'd love to hear recommendations for a #purifier that behave better in this regard.

Good morning all, with Xmas fast approaching I would like to build a Corsi Rosenthal fan or similar (https://agcenter.ucdavis.edu/news/corsi-rosenthal-box-diy-box-fan-air-filter-covid-19-and-wildfire-smoke), my daughter and her husband are coming for the day/overnight, I will ask that they isolate for 10 days but I doubt they'll comply, has anyone successfully built any variants in the UK and if so where did they source the parts please?

Plötzlich und unerwartet kam sie, diese silberne #Purifier-Medaille bei #Ingress. Ich war gerade dabei, eine Horde dieser unangenehmen roten Portale zu zerlegen - und die sind in meiner inaktiven Gegend vermutlich auch der Grund für so viele in letzter Zeit beseitigter Resos.
