Considering introducing the little one to the #Redwall series of books. I understand there are strong opinions about reading them in chronological order vs the order they were published. What do you recommend reader? #books #parenting

Kinda?
Long answer…
I always loved stuff with anthro animals. Ever since I was a kid, I loved Sonic the Hedgehog, Redwall, Samurai Pizza Cats… But then, so do a lot of kids.
I remember though in the late 90s, I first got internet access (I was still pretty young at the time) and I found, when given access to basically anything, there were things I seemed to look at more than anything else - videogame discussions & FAQs, anime news and images…
… and one day, while browsing a site (I think it was "furry dot org"), I realised that I kept coming back time and time again to anthro characters, which at the time was mostly fan-art and people's OCs, and although I didn't have a name for it (the idea of "furry" as a subculture was a complete unknown to me) I realised I was a fan of this stuff.
Despite that, I didn't think of myself as a furry for the longest time, and in some ways, I still don't; which probably sounds weird coming from a furry vtuber. Maybe it's because I don't do fursuiting (not throwing shade on those who do, you do you - I actually love seeing you at cons etc.) but it's not something I've ever been into.
But I realised eventually that the culture is much wider than just that; it's not like some bar you need to get over, just like not every anime fan has read all of One Piece. You can just like something. You don't have to rationalise it.
Short answer…
Somewhere between Rebecca Cunningham and Lola Bunny.

More #BookBingo progress! Read 'Spear' by Nicola Griffith for the 'King Arthur' challenge. Beautiful queer retelling with a female Perceval. Then I got a bingo with the classic #Redwall by Brian Jacques, which has actually been adapted into a movie, in a roundabout way.

Scott's review of Mariel of Redwall (Redwall, #4) - BookWyrm
Another great Redwall book. I had fun with Mariel, and the party she had. Also the rabbit trio including Rosie. The dibbons were lil' shits, but they were fun. And surprise double villains, kinda.
Tho, I will say, it is starting to feel a bit samesies. Some very familiar story beats being repeated. Not in a problematic way. I still have good fun with the...

Heute ist Welttag des Buches. 😍
Da darf meine frisch zum Bücherregal aufgewertete Schrankvitrine natürlich nicht fehlen. Es ist noch nicht ganz gefüllt, aber #Wanyama macht sich gut als Platzhalter, findet ihr nicht auch? 😎

recently started watching the #Redwall cartoon. I already knew it existed but after played #Smallsaga, i wanted to see one of their inspirations.
I must say, i find the main villain really hot. even tho he's not a fox. I like when he chokes on one of the acorns being thrown at him in one of the episodes. I find that funny and also kinda hot on its own. this may sound weird but i think choking/gagging on small things turns me on. especially in vore. i dont think thats a common trope.
