A federal prosecutor in Massachusetts said Friday that the federal government will not return a 19-year-old college student who was deported over Thanksgiving despite a court order blocking her removal.

Any Lucia Lopez Belloza was deported to Honduras in November shortly after she was detained, even though a federal judge had ordered the government not to remove her from the U.S. or transfer her out of Massachusetts.

After the college student's removal, U.S. District Judge Richard G. Stearns said he was giving the government an opportunity to "rectify the mistake" and recommended that she be issued a student visa.

WASHINGTON — U.S. Reps. Burgess Owens and Celeste Maloy of Utah joined 11 local leaders in filing a federal lawsuit on Monday alleging that the state's court-ordered congressional map violates the U.S. Constitution.

The lawsuit names Utah Lt. Gov. Deidre Henderson as the defendant. It seeks to prevent her, as the state's chief election officer, from implementing the new district map for the 2026 elections.

There's nothing more un-American than a lying, criminal, felon POTUS denying immigrants who have followed the process, their oath of citizenship. Next time some GOP/MAGA scumbag says anything about process, call them a LIAR TO THEIR FACE.

In some cases, immigrants have already passed the citizenship test, only to be blocked from taking the oath that makes their naturalization official.

“People are just somewhat confused and concerned that, although they sort of went through the process, with the exception of the actual ceremony, that now at the eleventh hour, on the ninth inning they’re going to be disqualified and not allowed to be officially sworn in,” Rep. Adriano Espaillat (D-N.Y.) said.

Espaillat, who is a naturalized citizen himself, said his office has been flooded by people dealing with the uncertainty.

“They’re in limbo, and I’m sure there’s a lot of stress. And they may feel they are Americans, but in actuality, they’re not, until they take that oath.”

A federal judge on Friday dismissed a lawsuit brought by President Donald Trump that attempted to sue Washington Post journalist Bob Woodward for publishing interviews during his first administration in an October 2022 audiobook called “The Trump Tapes.”

According to the court filing, Trump did not demonstrate that he and Woodward intended to be co-authors or that Trump had any copyright interest in his on-the-record responses during the interviews with Woodward.
