What is a #Narcissystem , and why I made up this word
: simply it is a combination of #narcissism & #system , it usually shows up in family dynamics, but it's something we are all dealing with on a broader perspective.

What are the attributes of a #Narcissystem ?

- Gaslighting: questioning what you feel, hear and see even when experiencing it first hand and with your own sense. This happens all the time, especially prevalent in the recent ICE attacks on civilians.

- Victim blaming : blaming those who are most vulnerable in the system for the systems problems, even when the system has oppressed those groups of people to begin with.

- Scapegoating: a #Narcissist needs someone to look stupid or unworthy to look superior to. A #Narcissystem is no different, except they attack whole groups of people. This is specifically exercised through supremacy & misogyny. Like the recent attacks on Somalians, Hatians and Women. A #Narcissystem must have enemies to operate.

- Lack of Self Worth: A #narcissist will beat themselves up behind the scenes, but put on a mask of inflated self confidence in front of an audience. They convince themselves they can play any part, but often are addicted to substances and other things to escape themselves. They search out validation like a vampire, they never get enough and often zap ⚡ the energy of everyone and everything around them. A #Narcissytem is no different..Gawd forbid you try to better yourself through personal and collective enlightened. One of Trumps council explained ' he acts like an alcoholic', that's no mistake. This is also true with how extractive #capitalism is with our earth.

- Word Salad: They pretend to be the expert on everything, even when they're wrong, they somehow proclaim their right ( right Tucker Carlson?) they hardly ever admit wrong doing, rather they attempt to prove it with conviction and flowery, confusing language. That's how a #Narcissystem keeps us too busy from finding what is really truthful. Add in over work and reduced support and inflation for basic needs and folks never have a chance to 'side eye' its dysfunction.
Sounds like every statement or speech Trump and Bush ever gave, doesn't it? Sounds like 'burnout' is built in for everyone.

- False Apologies: A narcissistic does apologize, but it's an empty one. Therefore the meat puppets of a #Narcissytem will apologize if backed into a corner, but it will have no real intention to change, often going exactly back to their behavior they practiced before. They see an apology as a free pass to do it again, and so do their minions. Elon Musks Grok is a perfect example.

- Double standards : A #Narcissytem will require everyone else to jump through unprecedented hoops to achieve the same success their successors have, when often they are given positions of wealth and power through birthright. The same standards don't apply to those upholding the system and those sitting on top of it. Also remember standardized testing was developed by Nazi's to single out non nuero-typicals, why the fuck are we still doing this??.

- Control: What narcissistic doesn't love being the cult leader of something? They love to control the will of others and the system is no different, often disguising it as 'protection', it often uses police violence and brutality to maintain these conditions, funded by those being brutalized. If it can keep everyone feeling separated, anxious, lonely, lacking and depressed, it maintains control. Health and wellness is not seem as a priority, because a mentally healthy populous wouldn't put up with this shit.

- Things over People: a #Narcissystem lives in the superficial realm. Since it cannot reach deep self acceptance and enlightenment without dealing with it's shadows, it will focus on the material. It will convince you that you need to buy 'stuff' to gain self acceptance and love connection with others, this is false, it only further segregates through an idea of 'status'. Ever seen the bumper sticker: "Whoever dies with the most toys Wins", ....but still dies, we're not here to accumulate 'stuff', we're here to self actualize, personally and collectively.

A #Narcissystem loves to keep people fighting, it takes the focus of their wrong doing. Let's all stop enabling a #Narcissystem and it's #Narcassists . Remember: Narcissists are not born, they are conditioned through the conditioning of a system.

A quotation from Ursula K. Le Guin

It’s like all the time I was working keeping house and raising the kids and making love and earning our keep I thought there was going to come a time or there would be some place where all of it came together. Like it was words I was saying, all my life, all the kinds of work, just a word here and a word there, but finally all the words would make a sentence, and I could read the sentence. I would have made my soul and know what it was for. But I have made my soul and I don’t know what to do with it. Who wants it?

Ursula K. Le Guin (1929-2018) American writer
Story (1995-11), “Ether, OR,” Isaac Asimov’s Science Fiction, Vol. 19

A quotation from Ray Bradbury

So while our art cannot, as we wish it could, save us from wars, privation, envy, greed, old age, or death, it can revitalize us amidst it all.

A quotation from Robert Louis Stevenson

If we are indeed here to perfect and complete our own natures, and grow larger, stronger, and more sympathetic against some nobler career in the future, we had all best bestir ourselves to the utmost while we have the time. To equip a dull, respectable person with wings would be but to make a parody of an angel.

Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-1894) Scottish essayist, novelist, poet
Essay (1878-03), “Crabbed Age and Youth,” Cornhill Magazine, Vol. 38

A #question not enough people ask is whether or not the world and #society actually ought to be the way they are, whether or not there might actually be better ways of doing things, whether #traditions are #based in #evidence and #logic—or even #compassion and #dignity—and whether or not we can make life better.

The ultimate purpose of life is to live well—to pursue #wellbeing and #selfactualization. If we fail in this, we have wasted the most precious gift of all. #philosophy #epitaph #⚛️

A quotation from Candice Bergen

I used to believe that marriage would diminish me, reduce my options. That you had to be someone less to live with someone else when, of course, you have to be someone more.

I read somewhere that (beyond religious reasons) most of us are monogamous these days because we have low self worth and are selfish. We're afraid that introducing anyone else to the equation will introduce the possibility of being lesser than, and we believe that our partners pleasure should only ever come from us and us alone.

A quotation from Philip K. Dick

The authentic human being is one of us who instinctively knows what he should not do and, in addition, will balk at doing it. He will refuse to do it, even if this brings down dread consequences to him and those whom he loves. This, to me, is the ultimately heroic trait of ordinary people. They say “no” to the tyrant and they calmly take the consequences of this resistance. Their deeds may be small, and almost always unnoticed, unmarked by history. Their names are not remembered, nor did these authentic humans expect their names to be remembered. I see their authenticity in an odd way: not in their willingness to perform great heroic deeds, but in their quiet refusals to commit villainies. In essence, they cannot be compelled to be what they are not.

Philip K. Dick (1928-1982) American writer
Speech (1978) “How To Build A Universe That Doesn’t Fall Apart Two Days Later”
