L'oiseau de feu à tête dure avait de toutes petites ailes. Il n'arrivait pas à voler, donc il restait toute la journée assis sur une branche. La plupart du temps, il glandouillait gentiment et regardait les autres oiseaux voleter dans les arbres. Mais il s'ennuyait sévère, donc dès qu'un hérisson passait sous sa branche, il laissait tomber un grosse fiente dessus: ça mettait un peu d'animation. Les hérissons ont fini par pactiser avec les singes verts qui ont mangé tous les œufs d'oiseaux de feu à tête dure, si bien qu'il a disparu.
