Dealing with a product backlog that's gone rogue is a classic Scrum pain point. We've all been there, staring at hundreds of items and wondering how we'll ever get anything done. Our latest video dives into why that massive list is actually killing your team's motivation and how a simple story map can be your lifeline. Ditch backlog chaos for a clear story map: youtu.be/IiWDBxingks

Terraso’s latest update brings the ability to attach geospatial data to story map chapters.

We've used this feature to help our partners showcase land management plans, present research, and document indigenous territories.

Is it too late to say "Happy New Year"? In this post we reflect on all that happened in 2023, including the rise of story maps as our most used feature.

Huge congratulations to Digital Democracy for the latest release of Terrastories!

For a long time, Terrastories has been an open source, offline-friendly way to record stories about the land, used by dozens of indigenous communities around the world. Now, people can publish (and share) their Terrastories online: terrastories.app/explore-a-lan

Released today: story map chapters in Terraso can now be rearranged, letting you fine-tune your landscape's story. Thanks to our co-design partners in Guyana and Spain for recommending this feature.

@Fo @actuallyautistic @adhd I’m #ADHD and enjoy being a #UserExperience (#UX) Designer.

We get to learn about people’s needs, understand the problems they’re having and explore solutions to address them.

On any given day I might be exploring the steps a person might need to take to achieve their goal or sticking up and organising post-it notes on a whiteboard in an ideas workshop. I might be sketching out a low fidelity designs for screens or webpages (wireframing) or linking screens together to create an interactive prototype. There are any number of other activities.

I only dabble in User Interface (UI) design as there are people much better at making beautiful apps and websites than me. I prefer to stick to the more architectural and problem solving side of the work.

The best thing? You never know quite what the next problem’s going to be or how people will respond when you give them prototypes of your solutions to test. Always surprises!

Worth a look and pretty straightforward to start exploring for yourself. Not convinced about the usefulness of so-called UX boot camps but that’s just me.

Starting out? Search for #UX, #DesignThinking, #StoryMapping and #Wireframing for starters 😇
