I'm Elektra, and it's been a tough week in some ways. I had to re-install Thunderbird a dozen times.

BUT today I got a delivery of not one, not two, but FOUR different chai teas to use with my chai pot.

Things are looking up. From herbs & kettles, I'm dying to try: Masala Chai, Cocoa Chai, Vanilla Lavender Chai & Blue Chai.

The Blue Chai is non caffeinated, and made from the butterfly pea plant. So, BLUE tea. Yay!

My Sunbeam Hot Shot hot water dispenser broke last night. I'm impressed that it lasted about 16 years, but it could not survive my teenager.

They say a picture's worth a thousand words . . . here's my tea cabinet, plus some "Grinch" teas I won in a cat show raffle.

ETA: The Grinch teas are missing the green teas. They don't agree with me (in a truly spectacular way!), so I gave them to a fellow tea lover at the show.

I keep around at least 6 different kinds of Chai, plus white chocolate mint, Darjeeling, Earl Grey, and more. A selection of herbals. I should take a picture.

And a black tea with peppermint candy added that I use to brew iced tea--perfect amount of sweetness.

I admit to being a tea snob, like some are coffee connoisseurs. I order my tea from the Upton catalogue. I’m partial to single-estate, tippy Assam - blended with just a taste of Lapsang Souchong to add that hint of smokiness. Milk and sugar are required, not optional so live with it. The result is the most heavenly hot beverage on the planet, none compares except perhaps proper chai (which I am not permitted as I do not tolerate black pepper). When it comes to Green tea, I prefer high-mountain grown (Alishan, Taiwan) Jin Xuan for its lovely floral notes. #Tea #TeaSnob #TeaDrinker
