I've been saying this for a while but the techbro stranglehold on RAM availability is a lot more about keeping computing power out of the hands of the end user then it is about keeping AI growing (even if both are true). Once end users are stuck with devices like Chromebooks and Macbook Neos they'll have no choice but to rent computing power from techbros.
