@SecurityWriter yes, you must stay informed, even though you can’t trust anything you see in the media. Thanks to the Internet you can now get your news directly from the primary sources, directly from the scientists and other experts who know what is going on better than anyone else.
Re: the “Telepathy Tapes,” I don’t find it difficult to believe at all.
Take three simple scientific facts that are now common knowledge:
- a symptom of ASD is that a person is far more sensitive to sensory input than the neurotypical baseline
- with AI technology we are able to train machine learning models to find the most subtle patterns in the most noisy signals
- any good poker player knows that every person has a “tell,” i.e. subtle physiological changes in a person that occur when they have a winning hand.
So it is incredibly likely that when a parent is thinking something there are subtle physiological changes that “tell” what the parent is thinking, which a child on the Autism Spectrum can learn to detect by virtue of the fact that they are so sensitive to sensory input. It is even more likely that they can pick up on these patterns from someone they have loved and trusted since even before they were born, like their mother.
