Since Peter Capaldi got the chance to be #TheDoctor, it opened the possibility that anyone who had ever appeared on the show could be The Doctor.
I, for one, am very curious to see where they're going with this - especially since this new incarnation isn't introduced as "The Doctor".

Last week I stumbled across Jon Pertwee playing #TheDoctor. It reminded me why I watch #DoctorWho.
Which is why I say "Thank goodness tonight's episode is the last one of this series."
Admittedly, the current set has, improved slightly in recent weeks, but it isn't what it was as a concept.
If I was asked for one piece of advice by the show runners, I'd have to remind them that we watch The Doctor to escape for a while, and it should be about adventure, and not a vehicle for preaching morality.
