Jesus f*cking christ. I don't know what those morons thought, but indirectly forcing IT departments to fully automate the renewal of #TLS certificates (manually renewing every month is infeasible) does not make certificates more secure. It makes them even less secure because no human will look at the certificates and do the "do we still need this one?" test anymore. #DevOps #DevSecOps en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Certific

I remember a fantastic website that explained how a #TLS #handshake works. It was possible to click down through the abstraction layers to the individual bit.
Does anyone remember and could send me the link? I would like to give it to our trainee.

PSA: Browsers alone are not a very good tool for validating new SSL certificate deployments. They cache intermediate certificates and won't show you chain validation issues if they've seen the intermediate certs before. Use "dumb" tools like wget, curl. or even iwr for sanity testing, and use s_client to manually check the cert chain.

Great pleasure to be part of the European Society for Medical Oncology Immunooncology meeting in London #esmoimmuno25 as a scientific committee member, chair and invited speaker. The first day already kicks off with brilliant talks on tertiary lymphoid structures and triads as niches for anti-tumoral activiation in the tissue. A packed auditorium and exciting discussions with Samra Turajlić taking the stage right now. #tls #immunobiology #oncology #science #health esmo.org/

Reaching out to anyone who configured their DNS transport protocol. If you intentionally configured your home router's or your devices DNS service, what did you pick, and why?

Please retoot for reach.

It appears the Constitutional Court of #Germany stopped widespread surveillance through monitoring #DNS requests. Read more here.

I saw the necessity of #DoT, but I have to admit, I never convinced myself to go that router, other than just small test-runs. Maybe, I should setup DNS over #TLS over the Christmas break.

Stop! ✋ Did someone say "SSL certificate"? Welcome to 1999.

In 2025, it's TLS. Period. Clear, correct – and secure.
