@Jorsh @danielquinn same here. And speaking of Homestead Rescue, my spouse just saw me cutting limbs out of a tree over my head and said, “ good luck with that, Marty Raney”
I enjoy the Great Lakes, small lakes, abundant nature, back roads, small towns, big cities, and sports that our unique state has. I like to share pictures of interesting things I see beyond where the pavement ends. I appreciate when others post pictures or thoughts of the cool moments they experience in every day life. All photos are mine unless noted.

Haven't posted photos in a while because I'm woefully behind on editing anything new.
Case and point here - these are from a local northern lights outing along the Oklahoma/Missouri state line from October 10 of last year.
In keeping with my local sightings in the four state area, I tried to see the lights from as many states as possible, so I also have some pics from Missouri and Arkansas as well, although less vibrant due to light pollution.

I'm going to harvest some of this today, before the heat wave starts. It's still beautifully cool this morning.

So, everybody, @mothninja is now on Beige. I had to manually re-follow. Anna is a good follow for positive posts and great pictures, especially of Venice.

All it took was six years of care-taking, lessons learned, and more than a little luck (or possibly divine favor), but this year I have peaches! Or maybe the peach trees are saying, "Hey, this year has been rough - here's something sweet to help you through for a bit." Either way, I'm grateful.
@APBBlue And now I have learned a new word 😀
#Sunset 19/06/25 There had been a big thunderstorm about an hour before this picture. The sky was pinkish orange. Very pretty

@dillyd I still remember the first night as a kid where I realized how cool lightning bugs were. Running around with the older kids getting them to land on our hands.
For those that voted Patrick, God Bless you. I love Squidward but I wouldn’t rely on him in a jam. As someone here notes, Sun Tzu might make a case for Sponge Bob’s unpredictability. However, let’s face it, Sandy is always going to save everyone’s ass.
@jawarajabbi thanks!
