At FIE2024 we shared an assignment modification to the temperature sensor lab in BIOE415. The goal was for students to be able to critically think about the difference between doing analysis by hand, with purpose built and validated software, & with a tool based on a large language model. Lab Tip 1: Magnetic Name Tags!

We wanted to make it easier for students and instructors to learn each other's names. So we found whiteboard magnets that fit on the front edge of the shelves in the lab. There were enough in the package for each student to have one all semester. And since we have metal lockers they double as locker labels between classes.
