Actively engaging in public health protections like vaccines, masks, and clean air means more people are able to participate in society, especially those at higher risk.

Ignoring public health protections excludes many people from society.

Why do y'all keep getting this wrong?

“The impact of Long Covid is going to be huge. When you’ve had 7 billion people in the world infected, you only have to increase the risk of diabetes, dementia, cardiovascular disease by a tiny percentage, & you’ve got a huge long-term problem. We’ve got to understand Long #Covid and find ways of preventing it, but also treatments."

As the climate crisis threatens all life on the planet, the difference between today's Lever home page & today's typical cable TV news home page explains why I originally created The Lever, why independent media is necessary, and why corporate media is ruining the world.

Corporate ExxonMobil ad shows scientists in a high-tech lab working to develop “low-carbon technologies" {cue: orchestral violins 🎻}

#InformationAsymmetry used. The #greenwashing ad "had disturbingly persistent 🫥 effects":

Actual investments in renewable energy ≠ claims in ads. But actual data comparisons "did not fully reverse or correct greenwashing ads' initial impact".

Big polluters increasingly present themselves as green 🏡 to avoid accountability.

Yes, likely. The worst ones were in downtown (in "the West End") of Vancouver.

East side of Vancouver had a crow, "Canuck", renown locally for stealing stuff -- particularly a knife from a crime scene. Yes, that really did happen.

He disappeared a few years ago. People speculated that he was kidnapped (crownapped?).

They are intentionally framing climate and COVID as problems for individuals to deal with to distract us from holding the powerful accountable.

Crows are interesting creatures in Vancouver. We have annual dive-bombings by crows here (cue: Hitchcock movie scene).

Apparently, crows have good memories. It was originally thought that that was the reason for dive-bombings (poor treatment of the crows). But, recently understood that this occurred in the Spring where parent crows were protecting nearby nests & young ones if humans were perceived to be too close to the nests.
