Appointment this morning with my GP. I’m still sick and now not due to return to work until 9th January, which is also the day my week of leave begins. So I’m now officially not back in work until 19th January.

Of all the ways to get a Christmas off work, this is not the way I want to do it. I’m not even well enough to enjoy it, FFS.

My asthma is so bad today. 😖 it’s been bad the last few days but today? I’m done.

I managed to actually speak to a on call gp via 111, after approximately 6hr wait. Only to be told there were no local f2f appointments and that I’d be called back. The first appt they could give me was at 02:45 nearly half an hour away. 😳 Or A&E.

Luckily they finally said I could start the abx that I was prescribed but not advised to take as ‘it’s only a cold’. My pulse oxygen was down to 90, now up to 96. Three days of steroids haven’t really touched it. 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️. It’s not Covid. It’s a nasty bug I’ve had on/off for about 5weeks. I’m utterly exhausted. 😞 I’m worried about going to hospital due to wait times/strikes/more germs. Plus I can’t rest there. It won’t do me any good. Sigh.

It’s currently -4° here, with a high today forecast of 1°. I have just put the #heating on for a couple of hours to take the chill off, but have also been around the house turning off all the radiators in every room except for the one I’m in. I can’t afford to heat the whole house now, but I need to do something or this #ChestInfection will never shift.

So, I’m currently off work with this lingering chest infection, and last night my manager texted me, phoned me, phoned me again and left a voicemail.

I didn’t answer the calls and I haven’t yet read the message or listened to the voicemail.
