For a PID controller, would it suffice to calculate the accumulated error (I) as follows?

I(0)=kI * e(0)
I = I + (kI * e - I) * dt / SecondsInHour

This would drive the integral part towards the current observed error, but won’t accumulate large errors over time - and settle on the error value after an hour.

God why are humidifiers such AWFUL pieces of SHIT?

Got two giant ones, one of them had the lubricant washed away or something after just a year or two of use and is very loud, and the other is hardly quiet.

They're both HUGE , individually advertised to cover more than my whole house, but just barely keep me at 40%

Today's #ThrowbackThursday is in honor of the time the A/C at work decided it only needed two settings: "surface of the sun" and "deep space"

This #AdaFruit #Whatchamacallit would fire the servo at a high and low temperature points turning the AC on or off. It lasted 6 months before we finally got a replacement unit and "control" back in our #ClimateControl

I'm pretty sure this was my first ever #Automation

It would randomly fire and startle staff, which was an added bonus!

Playing around with #arduinocloud and the #bme280 sensor 🙂

The sensor reads Temperature, Humidity and Pressure, and fairly accurate at that, so it’s a really simple way to quickly set up an indoor climate monitor 🙂
