It was 5°F (-15°C) today (with a temperature inversion) and I decided to go flying to Bessie's Diner in Janesville, WI (KJVL). My face went numb, the wind hurt my eyes, my fingers were red and hurt, but always worth it to fly (I'm a fool).

Density altitude was -2400 feet when I was waiting to take off to go home (also it was a balmy 16°F (-8.9°C) at Janesville! Great climb performance though!

Walking around Dove Lake, we finally get to the scenic side of The Boatshed.

I set the camera on pebbles aligned my shot & took it, then the tide came in! By the time that I realised, the water was just starting to touch the bottom of the front glass element, and the base of the camera was saturated.

The front of boatshed is one of the most photographed part of Dove Lake, walk towards it from behind, revealed these wonderful orange lichen.
