@yamiyume This week, I was shadow banned from reddit after over 11 years of use with the same account. They did not openly notify me or provide me any reason. I was asked to reset my password and began having problems doing anything on the site. Now everything looks normal to me, but no one can see, much less interact with, my posts. I have reached out to admins with no response. According to rumor, Reddit’s bots sometimes think real people are bots if the user comments too many times in a short amount of time. Shadow bans are reportedly supposed to trick malicious bots, but the internet says the tactic doesn’t work at all. Meanwhile, I am advised not make a new account because that is against the rules and can result in worse penalties. Is this how corporate social media works now? They capriciously discourage real users but let ai and hasbara trolls take over their sites? #confused

it didn't get any kind of glowy red at all :/

but i quenched it anyway and it bubbled and did turn some interesting colours so now i'm not sure what i did

i sharpened it again after that and it seemed easier to sharpen soooooo... did I somehow manage to _temper_ it?

(what i really need I guess is a butane torch for slightly bigger objects like these?)

@ellane @xenodium On first glance, an intriguing app, and the org-mode backend is great (if not about ten years late, for me). But looking more closely, can’t you do the same with quick-capture for obsidian, or some such? Capture a thought, or image, or audio thingy, and add it to a text file sounds rather simple. Not unnecessary, I use quick capture all the time, but maybe not 22 dollars cool? #confused #markdown_all_the_things
